Meeting With My Co-Creater

The holidays are finally taking a break. And I'm finally going to be able to sit down with Vaunda and talk about our little creation. We've spoken over the phone and I've sent her some material I've done, but you know that's never enough when something new is getting started.

Digital Art On The iPad

iPadBeen testing outdoing artwork on the iPad with Sketchbook Pro. Since I got the stylus it's way easier than trying to draw with my finger. The next step is trying to figure out the exact style I need to do.

MacBook Pro; iPad; or Pen and Ink

sketchbookProNow that things seem to be going well it's time to figure out where the art will come from. I have three choices for this.
1. Go back to the beginning and do it with my pen, brush, and ink.
2. Use Photoshop on my MacBook Pro.
3. Or take a new route and use SketchBook on my iPad.

All three have their advantages and disadvantages.

Recording On The Cheap

When I decided to give it a try and produce a motion comic one of the things that I thought might present a problem is, recording the voices. They need to me clean and not not have that echo sound. I figured that meant I was going to have to purchase some type of microphone and recording device.

But there's always other solutions - you just have to search for them.

Let There Be Music!

When I started into this venture I figured I'd be able to find enough Creative Commons music to do my motion comic. But after going through the bulk of the material on Free Music Archive I've come to find that most of it exists under the Share Alike Creative commons license. And even though I support the goal of Creative Commons I was not ready to completely give up my creation. If the music I wanted was under the non-commercial license there would be no problem.

GoDaddy-A Glimpse Of The Internet Under SOPA

goDaddyThis story has never been told, and it's incredibly important to tell it today; it's a perfect example of what might come to be if SOPA becomes law -- a shoot first, question later mentality held by GoDaddy. Want to know what the world would be like under SOPA?

Creative Commons Ain't That Easy...

Free Music - Ain't No Such Thing

The first thing I decided to do on my new ventures was start finding some Free Music. Something that couldn't be taken down my YouTube. Needless to say, this proved to be a little more difficult than I first suspected. I ran into nearly as many roadblocks here as I did regarding the copyrighted stuff.

Down the tubes for YouTube

Before The Fall

My main vidding area used to be TV Opening Credit Mashups. I loved taking a theme song and finding video from another show to create a mashup. And the sillier, the better. Many of my mashups were definitely NOT in popular fandoms. But I liked them anyway.

Vidding-A New Beginning

Well, it's been about a month since the attack on my YouTube channel forced me to delete everything I had done. It was difficult to do but I figure it's now time to move on. Rather than stand toe-to-toe against an winnable situation I decided to remove the vids from the channel to save it from termination. Mainly cause once it's terminated you can't connect another YouTube channel to your main email.
